"My Name"

Here is a funny story from Rowan....last week, we were driving down the road and were right behind a truck with Rowan's name on it - (luckily I had the camera to get the pitcure!) We made such a big deal about it because we don't see Rowan's name very often. Mind you, she would not be able to recognize her own name but was very excited that we found it. So the very next day we were driving and Rowan excitedly points to the truck in front of it and happily says "Hayden's name"! And here is what the truck said...after I stopped laughing, I gently told her that it was not Hayden 's name!

Showtime

We got free tickets to Hayden's charter school's (for next fall) play "Tom Sawyer". Grandma came with us to make it a "Big Girls Night Out". Hayden's school has a Performing Arts focus, so it will be very exciting to see her on the big stage next year!

Sea World

We got our family the Fun Card at Sea World, so we have added another amusement park to our rotation! We spent the entire morning there and just scratched the surface of fun things to explore.
A big parade of flamingos marched right by us - it was so funny to see the workers trying to herd flamingos!
A duck family walked right by us during our lunch.

We got to see some really big sharks - up close and personal!
The dolphin show was AMAZING!

The girls had such a blast, and we can't wait to go back and see more of the park!

Encinitas Street Fair

Grandma and Mommy took the kids to the Encinitas Street Fair. It was hot, crowded, and a bit expensive, so we didn't stay too long! The girls chose 1 ride, and they both enjoyed the big slide!

Aunt Angela

Aunt Angela came to stay with the kids while Mommy and Daddy went on their cruise. The kids loved spending time with her. Pierce especially connected with his great aunt during her visit!

Cruising

Our 2nd trip on "The Sovereign of the Seas" was a memorable one! It was hard for us to believe that 10 years and 1 week ago, we were engaged on the exact same ship. Our favorite location was Coco Cay - beauty beyond words!
Cheers to meeting new friends - we had a blast with our new buddies, Jesse and Jill!
It was a perfect trip, and the best part was that it was free!! Yippee!

Rowan's 3rd Birthday

Rowan had a fun-filled 3rd birthday! She got to choose the agenda for the entire - including activities and food (hence the junk food:) She awoke to a decorated door and breakfast in bed...Can't beat Barbie pop-tarts! Then she opened a few gifts and we headed to Chuck E Cheese for games and lunch. Next we stopped by Toys R Us where they gave her a crown, a balloon, and announced her name over the intercom. After her afternoon nap, we went to Legoland where she was finally able to drive the cars (she has been counting down the days until she turned 3 so she could drive them!). For dinner we had KFC/Taco Bell and more presents and cake when we got home! I don't think we've eaten that bad in a very long time - thank goodness birthday only come once a year!

Snow Cones

When Nana came to visit, she bought Rowan a snow cone machine for her birthday - we have had so much fun making our own desserts - yum yum!! Thank goodness it is a improved version from my "Snoopy SnowCone Machine" that I had to hand crank - we just plug it in, and we are in business!
