Easter Evening

For our Easter evening, we went to our neighbor's house, which has become a second home to our girls. They love playing with their buddies Gage and Talan. They had an Easter Egg Hunt (#5 for the week), ate Mexican food, and played until they practically crashed! It was such a great weekend!

Easter Egg Hunt #4

We joined our Meetup group at Hidden Canyon Park in Carlsbad for a picnic and egg hunt. It was a beautiful day...sunny and warm. Rowan had a unique style of egg hunting this time...she wanted to stop and see what was in every egg before she looked for another one. What a silly girl!

New Easter Outfits

We got the kids dressed for all their Easter Activities. Grammy bought the coordinating outfits for them!

Easter Morning

The kids were all so excited about their visit from the Easter Bunny. The kids got the traditional baskets, but then had a treasure hunt to find one last special treat! Hayden got the new Webkinz of the month (a pink poodle)and Rowan got a princess scooter!

Pre-Easter Events

On Saturday morning, we went to Henry's market to do an egg hunt. It was super crowded, so we only got a few eggs. Then we went to our YMCA, which had all sorts of activities and an egg hunt.

Easter Saturday

Aunt Kristye sent us a care package with some new spring outfits in it, so we thought we would wear them for our pre-Easter activities!

Spring Fling

We had a little "Spring Fling" party with our Meetup group today. The girls were thrilled about the egg hunt, but as you can tell from the last picture, Hayden was very concerned that Rowan was trying to eat gum...what a caring (and a bit bossy) big sister!

"Eggs"traordinary Fun

We had an "eggs"cellent time at our neighbor's house decorating eggs. It was super messy, but so much fun! Hayden and Rowan both kept dropping their eggs, so there eggs were sporting the "crackled" look.

Luck of the Irish

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with our Meetup group - Oceanside Little Explorers. There were games and a potluck lunch. The kids' favorite part was the treasure hunt.

Leaping Leprechauns

A sneaky Little Leprechaun got into our house and created a huge mess...little stinker! Thankfully he did leave us a little treat - chocolate donuts for breakfast!

Birthday Bash

We were invited to our first California Birthday Party this weekend at our neighbor's house. They had a clown, face painting, and a jump house. The Girls LOVED it - especially the face painting! Hayden cried at bedtime when it was time to wash it all off.

San Clemente

On Gavin's days off, we are trying to explore our new home. So last week we headed to San Clemente which is in OC. It was a beautiful day and an adorable little beach town. I look forward to when Gavin and I can go back without kids and see all the little shops and boutiques and have a romantic dinner out!
