Disneyland Parades

Our adventure to see the Disneyland Holiday Parades...We decided to take some family pics before we got on the tram to go into the parks.
The Girls with Daddy
Rowan decided she wanted to be in her own picture....
So here she is....
Here are the kids waiting for the first Parade - the Pixar Parade in the California Adventure Park. Thank goodness for snacks!
We weren't able to get the best pictures since it was night.

We then headed over to Disneyland, and even though the parade wasn't going to start for another 45 minutes, we could hardly find a place to sit.

Pierce loved the parades, and refused to sit because he was too busy dancing (and playing with the lady's shoes next to me). I am holding onto him, so he wouldn't run out to catch a float.

This little man was so tired by the end...fell asleep in the car within 10 minutes.

That's Me!

Pierce has discovered himself! He spent about 20 minutes just gazing at himself and laughing. It was so fun to watch and hear him take such delight in himself.

What a silly little boy!

Big Chair

This is one proud boy - his first time sitting in a booster at the big table. Pierce was thrilled and now doesn't want to go back to the high chair.
Big kids waiting for their lunch.
A muffin tin meal was the main course.

Run Run as Fast as You Can

It is G week, and our neighbor Manuel was over, so we decided to make some gingerbread men.
Rowan has so many phases that she goes through - this is a new one...making crazy faces at the camera...she thinks it's hilarious!

First Sleep Over

The girls hosted their very first sleepover with Kivrin and Tess...silly me forgot to take any good pictures, so this is all you get (yes, Rowan is half naked again...it's a state of being for her)! They played, made pizzas, watched a show, had some dessert, and got up at 5 AM!! So much for the "sleeping" part.

The Holidays at Sea World

Okay, night pictures with my camera = not so good. We have never taken the kids to Sea World at night, so we decided to go see the lights and special holiday shows. Our "Fun Pass" expires at the end of December, so most likely, this was our last visit for awhile.
Rowan was getting tired and refused to pose for pictures - this was all she was willing to give me - little stinker! I coaxed Hayden into a smile for the camera!
Getting "Happy Boy" to grin is hardly ever a problem - he loves the toddler area at Sea World. Although he has quickly fallen into the "pesky little brother" category - he was knocking everyone's blocks down...I think that's a trouble making grin!We had a few extra minutes before the Sea Lion Christmas Show, so we played around in the arcade.

These shoes are made for walking

It's official - Pierce is now in "Big Boy Shoes". He completely wore out his first pair of Robeez...so now he's on to the real thing...shoes with rubber soles. Sniff, sniff...anyone got a tissue?

Roller Derby

One of Nana's gifts for the girls was roller skates...Dora for Rowan and Barbie for Hayden. They were such a sight hanging on to Daddy and Nana as they practiced in the house. A few days later I took them to a soft surfaced park and they were really improving...Roller Derby here they come!

Holiday Decorating

As you can tell, I hadn't planned on putting these pictures on the blog (hence Rowan with no pants and me looking a fright), but I know our families are wanting to see what we've been up to, so I am putting pride aside...here ya' go! Pierce was napping while we decorated...we figured it was safer and easier that way...maybe next year Pierce!

The girls' favorite decoration is the nesting Santas...they love putting them together and hiding them inside each other.

Turkey Day

The girls have been busy decorating our house for Thanksgiving. They really loved making the "Turkey Topper" hats. Rowan was so proud of her accomplishment.
Nana spent Thanksgiving with us...and cooked our whole meal! Yum!

Lakeshore Learning

In the constant pursuit of entertaining my kids (cheaply), we are always looking for fun places to play...I mean "shop"...here we are perusing Lakeshore Learning. Their stuff is super cute!

Chuck E Cheese

While Nana was here, we went to "where a kid can be a kid"...AKA Chuck E. Cheese. The girls are really into hip hop dancing...they definitely have better moves than their parents do...don't tell Gavin I said that..he likes to think of himself as the "King of the Dance Floor" :)

Big sisters are showing little brother how to "strut your stuff"!

Pierce LOVES seeing the big mouse...most kids seem to be scared, but he loves him!

A happy boy who doesn't have to sit on the sidelines in a stroller anymore...time to explore!

PIZZA NIGHT! The fun thing about primarily homeschooling Hayden is that we incorporate lots of fun things into our family activities. For "Pp Week" we made pizzas!
Daddy took pizza making very seriously - trying to get the crust "just right".

Both of the girls enjoy cooking...Pierce's activity was playing in the trash...you can spot his head right above Hayden's hand...he loves to throw things away...including our plates, cups, utensils....what a big help!

Do you notice anything about Rowan's "after" picture? No clothes again...this is definitely a trend with her these days.

Hayden shows off her finished pizza.

Pigs in a Blanket

Pp is for pigs in a blanket!
